Welcome to my new blog!
I am training to run a half marathon, on October 18 in San Francisco, with Team in Training. As part of this, I will be raising money to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and my personal goal is $5,000. I have taken this event on as my first endurance event because it is a great cause, that is also close to my heart. I have chosen to run in memory of my father, Randy Weber, who fought Hodgkin's Disease in his 20's; but was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma at age 43 in October of '89, and lost his battle on May 6, 1990. This photo is from family portrait in 1988.

I will try to keep this updated weekly with new stories about heroes I hear about, and the progress of my training for the event.
